2023 Trends

1. Colour

Firstly, the colour of the year: Magenta!!

Whether you are having a bright and bold wedding with Magenta being the star colour or if you are having a moody or pastel wedding with Magenta being the pop of colour, it is so in right now and works so well with a variety of themes.

See below how Magenta can be used in different wedding themes and styles.

2. Catering

We are seeing more and more couples moving away from the traditional set and alternate drop menus.

The new trend is a more relaxed menu style of having shared plates and food trucks at weddings to create a more fun and interactive experience for guests. It is so important to think of what vibe you want your wedding to have, when selecting your caterer and menu. It can really set the tone for the wedding. For example, having a sit down 3 course menu is best suited to a formal wedding. A buffet menu is suited for a family/ property style wedding and a shared plate menu is suited if you would like a fun and interactive, relaxed wedding.

Fabulous vendors we work with who nail the shared plate style catering

3. Smaller weddings

Due to the restrictions when covid was a thing, couples realised they don’t need to have a big wedding. The can have a beautiful intimate elopement or micro wedding with their closest family and friends.

Another factor drawing couples to opt for a smaller wedding in 2023 is the rise in interest rates and the cost of living. Couples want to still get married, have their dream wedding but not be broke or in debt after it.

We have an all inclusive elopement package we offer couples, get in touch if you are considering this option. https://www.nhweddings.com.au/contact-us

4. Mix matched bridesmaid dresses

I love this idea!! choose a couple of colours rather than one and get different style dresses in those colours.

5. Florals

Ceremony arbours are getting low!! And we are here for it.

Semi circle floor arrangements are in aswell as floor aisle arrangements. We love this trend because 1. They look stunningggggg!!! and 2. the arrangements can be picked up and repurposed for the reception.
