A ROMANTIC MOUNTAIN AFFAIR: KATRYNA & PETE AT ALLVIEW ESCAPE, BLACKHEATH

Tucked away in the dramatic landscape of the Blue Mountains, Allview Escape in Blackheath set the perfect stage for Katryna & Pete’s unforgettable wedding day. With sweeping views, crisp mountain air, and that unmistakable charm of a destination wedding close to home, their celebration was equal parts romantic, relaxed, and refined.

We were thrilled to bring their floral vision to life—something that felt fresh and organic, with a touch of playful colour.

A Palette Inspired by Nature

Katryna’s brief was clear: timeless, textural florals that would complement the breathtaking scenery, not compete with it. We leaned into soft whites and layered greens for structure and freshness, weaving in soft and dusky blues that added depth and a romantic coolness to the overall palette. To finish, we introduced subtle pops of yellow—just enough to catch the eye and bring a bit of unexpected joy to the mix.

This thoughtful palette worked harmoniously with the crisp mountain light and the venue’s open gardens, echoing the soft blues of the distant escarpments and the golden glow of late afternoon sun.

Ceremony with a View

The ceremony was set on a lawn that overlooked the valley, with a floral-grounded arbour designed to let the view shine while still creating an intentional focal point. Our arrangements hugged the natural shapes of the surroundings, spilling slightly wild with delphinium, garden roses, snapdragons, and local foliage, moving gently in the breeze.

Reception Details

Inside the reception marquee, we kept the styling minimal and refined. Table arrangements featured a mix of structured and soft elements—clusters of blooms in ceramic vessels and bud vases, paired with taper candles and crisp linen. The mix of blue and yellow here felt especially elegant, like a modern nod to provincial charm.

The overall effect was effortless and elevated—true to Katryna & Pete’s style and the atmosphere they wanted for their day.

A Truly Special Day

From the morning fog lifting over the cliffs to the glowing evening sky, this wedding was a true celebration of love, nature, and intention. We’re so honoured to have played a small role in creating something so personal and beautiful.
